William Fletcher Riddle, Jr.
Mr. William Fletcher Riddle, Jr., age 82, a resident of 712 Grimes Road, Washington, NC died Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
Mr. Fletcher was born in Orange County on May 13, 1927 to William Fletcher and Dolly Pugh Riddle, Sr. He served his country in the US Army. On May 12, 1952 he married Aline Walker Riddle who survives. William had been a door greeter for 10 years at the Hillsborough Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Hillsborough.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Ronnie L. Riddle of Hillsborough, James David Riddle and Don Allen Riddle both of Washington; two daughters, Dolly Faye Lockamy of Mebane and Dorothy Ann Pruitt of Harnett County; his brother, Clifton Riddle of Hillsborough; his half-brother, J.W. Riddle of Mebane; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Riddle.
