Mrs. Sue Wallace Tyer
Mrs. Sue Wallace Tyer, 63, of 118 N.E. 46th St., Oak Island, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service in Washington, with Rev. Curtis White, officiating.
Mrs. Tyer was born August 14, 1944 in Bath, NC. She was the daughter of the late Purvis and Lena Woolard Wallace. Following graduation from East Carolina University, she held teaching positions in the Beaufort County, Fayetteville and Kinston City school systems.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Arthur Tyer and Dean Thomas Tyer, both of Oak Island; and a sister, Sylvia W. Winfrey, of Newport News, VA.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Hillside Funeral Service. Inurnment will be private and at a later date.
