Video Tribute

    Phillip Anthony “Flipper” Forest, 60, of 431 Shady Banks Road, Washington, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Beaufort County Medical Center in Washington.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 5, 2008 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 406 Lawson Road and at other times at the home of Nicole Woolard, 211 Ridgewood Lane.

    Mr. Forest was born March 7, 1948 in Bismarck, ND to Robert Joseph and Ardis Johnson Forest. He was a retired Environmental Technician with Texas Gulf and PCS. Flipper moved with his family to Washington during his senior year of high school. After graduating from Washington High School he attended NC State University and graduated from UNC-CH. He was a member of the Pirates Club.

    Survivors include three daughters, Nicole Woolard, Caroline Forest and Olivia Forest all of Washington; and sisters Janet Burgess of Core Point and Jeanne Forest of Durham.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

    In lieu of flowers contributions may be made be directed to the Pirates Club, ECU Educational Foundation, in memory of Phillip Forest, Ward Sports Medicine Building, Suite 304, Greenville, NC 27858.
