Mr. Nathan Isaac Penwell, 21, of 845 Hackney Avenue, Washington, died Monday, March 19, 2007.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Edwards Cemetery in Chocowinity with Pastor Phillip Jethro officiating.
The family will receive from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington and other times at the home.
Mr. Penwell was born July 19, 1985 in Idaho Falls, ID. He was the son of Dexter L. Penwell and Celie Brittenham Erickson. He was a graduate of Pasca High School in Washington State and a veteran of the Marine Corp. On January 29, 2005, he married the former Kimberly Diane Bryan. Nathan had lived in Beaufort County approximately one year and was employed as a Correctional Officer at the Hyde Correctional Center.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Diane Penwell; his daughter, Carrie Nicole Penwell of the home; his mother, Celie Erickson of Washington State; his father, Dexter L. Penwell of Montana; and three sisters, Jennell Marks of Montana, Megon Kraftenburg of NM, and Celeste Penwell of Montana.
