Mrs. Mae “Doris” Lovinggood
Mrs. Mae “Doris” Lovinggood, 84, formerly of 4603 VOA Road, Washington and most recently a resident of Britthaven of Washington, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Mountain View Park Cemetery Marietta, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington and other times at the home of her daughter, Marthalyn Hudson, 4603 VOA Road, Washington.
Mrs. Lovinggood was born November 13, 1923 in Cobb County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Howard Dobbs and Beulah Lee Lingerfelt Dobbs. She was married to Louis Lovinggood, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Lovinggood was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Washington. She had been a resident of Washington since 1978.
Survivors include two daughters, Marthalyn Hudson and her husband, Jimmy of Washington, NC and Myra Mathur and her husband, Nick of Cleveland, OH; two sons, Larry Dobbins of Rome, GA and Louis Lovinggood and his wife, Gloria of Powder Springs, GA; one sister, Johnnie Riley of McDonough, GA; three grandchildren, Tomenah Mills and her husband, Randy of Washington, NC, Cynthia Lyon and her husband, Christian of Knightdale, NC, and Erin Hodnett and her husband, Kurt of Greenville, NC; and one great-grandchild, Jamie Harrison and her husband, Jason of Washington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to: First Baptist Church, 113 North Harvey Street, Washington, NC 27889 or to the charity of one’s choice.
