Mr. Joseph Ray Leary
Mr. Joseph Ray Leary, 80, of Beaufort County died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Britthaven of Washington.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Tony Krantz officiating.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation at the funeral home or at the home.
Mr. Leary was born October 20, 1927 in Martin County. He was the son of the late William and Lucy Rogers Leary. He was married to Coleen Ingalls Leary, who preceded him in death. Mr. Leary had been a resident of Beaufort County for sixty years. He was a farmer and worked at the Farmer’s Warehouse in Greenville, NC for forty years.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Leary of Chocowinity and Ron Leary of Washington; two sisters, Mildred Hoell and Christine Whitaker; three brothers, Raymond Leary, Mack Leary, and Albert Leary; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Leary and Bob Leary.
