Infant Jacob Isaiah Rice, son of Melinda Houston Rice and Brendan Roy Rice, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Covenant Community Church Cemetery with Pastor Phillip Jethro officiating.
In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his brothers, Joshua Caleb Houston, Tanner Braden Rice and Evan Christopher Rice, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Johnnie L. Houston, Sr. and Sandra P. Houston; paternal grandparents, Frank R. Rice and Linda K. Rice; maternal great-grandparents, James and Martha Fleming; and paternal great-grandmother, Carol Klaassen.
Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Alfred “Bill” Klaassen.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2008 at Hillside Funeral Service, and other times at the home of Johnnie and Sandra Houston, 2158 Ephesus Church Road, Blounts Creek, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: The Jacob Isaiah Rice Memorial Fund, C/O Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
