Mr. Hubert Earl Edwards
Mr. Hubert Earl Edwards, 76, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Oakdale Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Barber officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Friday, March 14, 2008 at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at Don and Brenda Edwards, 201 East 14th St., Washington.
Hubert Earl was born September 16, 1931 to the late Louis Guy and Sallie Holland Edwards. He was a native of Beaufort County and a lifelong resident of Washington. For a number of years, he was employed as a motorcycle mechanic at Talley Implement Co and later as a plumber. Hubert Earl was an avid boatsman and fisherman, and had a great love of animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pauline W. Edwards; two sons, Don W. Edwards and wife, Brenda of Washington, and Terry R. Edwards and wife, Nancy of Columbia; one daughter, Tracey E. Barrow and husband, Greg of Yeatesville; grandchildren, Mike Edwards, Lorie Bailey, Jessica Edwards, Clay Edwards, Misty Woolard and Joshua Barrow; step-grandchildren, Greg and Catherine Barrow, Tiffany Griffis and Chris Carpenter; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Oden, and Kaylon Gunter.
