Donald Francis Ryan
Donald Francis Ryan, age 74, a resident of 306 Neuse Drive, Chocowinity died Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 19, 2010 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Michael Huppmann, Austin Thomas and Bill Waite officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC.
Mr. Ryan was born in New York City on April 3, 1935 to Thomas and Beatrice Elliott Ryan. Donald graduated from Atlantic Christian College (Barton College) and worked in Pharmaceutical Sales. He was an avid basketball player and fan and was also a big fan of ECU. Donald and his wife Barbara were married June 14, 1975.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Mauro and husband Phil of Pasadena, MD, Barbara’s sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ken Bloech of Atlanta, GA, nephews Christopher and Kevin Bloech, niece Lindsay Bloech and one grand nephew, Samuel John Bloech.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Donald’s memory for the purpose of purchasing soft body armor (bullet proof vests) for the Washington Police Department, c/o Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
