Dr. James H. “Bunk” Roberson
Dr. James H. “Bunk” Roberson, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with The Rev. Danny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Dr. Roberson was born September 24, 1937, son of the late Charlie and Bernice Bennett Roberson. He graduated from Washington High School, Randolph Macon Academy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University).
Dr. Roberson practiced Podiatry in Washington for 40 years. He was very benevolent to all his patients and the community, in every way.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Waters Roberson; four children, Ginna Roberson Gray and husband, Dr. Bruce Gray, Jim Roberson, Stephanie Roberson Barnard and husband, David Barnard, and Dr. Ainsley Roberson Rusevlyan, and husband, David Rusevlyan; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Gray Roberson.
The family will receive friends at his home.
