Ms. Elizabeth “Becky” Edens Boyd
Becky Boyd, 62, of 107 Village Circle, Washington, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Arnold Pressey officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery, Pinetown. Christopher Boyd, Wesley Wallace, Fred Howell, Wes Williams, Ben Allen and Gary Respess will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home of her son Robbie Boyd, 4421 Archbell Road, Bath.
Becky was born on August 22, 1945 in Beaufort County. She was the daughter of Sidney Johnson Edens and Elizabeth Keaton Edens. She graduated from Belhaven High School. On February 29, 1964 she married William L. “Billy” Boyd who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Becky was known for be a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include three sons, Robbie Boyd and wife Kathy of Bath, Steven Boyd of Belhaven and Billy Joe Boyd of Belhaven; one brother Sidney Edens and wife Phyllis of New Bern; four grandchildren Christopher, Shelby and Savanna Boyd of Bath and Taylor Boyd of Pinetown; and two nephews Johnny and Scott Edens of New Bern.
